Introduction
CashFlow allows you to set up multiple payment milestone configurations for CashFlow projects. In this article, we’ll show you how to apply a CashFlow configuration to a project, and walk you through an example.
Applying CashFlow Configurations
You can store multiple CashFlow configurations, but must select one configuration to auto-apply to cash payment options.
The auto-applied configuration will automatically apply to all cash payment options unless the cash payment option is explicitly mapped to another configuration. When you edit a cash payment option within Control > Payment Options > Edit Payment Options, you can select a configuration for that payment option to override the default.
If you disable auto-apply on all CashFlow configurations, your cash payment options will no longer include CashFlow features by default.
Example
In this example, the pro has 1 residential cash configuration and 1 cash configuration they use for commercial projects.
With CashFlow, the pro can easily manage these:
- Auto-apply the most common residential CashFlow configuration
- Edit the commercial cash payment option to use the cash configuration preferred for commercial projects
- Creating a new project:
- Residential: Keep the auto-applied configuration or select one of the other options.
- Commercial: The commercial cash payment option will automatically apply the preferred commercial configuration.
