Overview
Power Up OpenSolar is a short checklist of key actions that help you get more from OpenSolar — for example creating a proposal template, connecting finance, accepting payments, unlocking trade pricing, and inviting your team.
If you are a team member (not an organisation admin), you will see User Set Up instead. That list is about your own profile and first projects.
The checklist updates automatically when you complete each action in OpenSolar. You do not tick items by hand.
The steps you see depend on:
- Whether you are an organisation admin or a team member
- Your organisation’s country
Where to find it
While the checklist is still in progress, you can open it from:
- Home — the Power Up OpenSolar card (or User Set Up for team members)
- Top navigation — the Power Up chip (admins) or User Set Up chip (team members)
- Control — the same Power Up OpenSolar / User Set Up card on the Control dashboard
You can collapse the Home card or close the navigation panel and reopen it later. You cannot permanently hide it from Home or the navigation bar until the list is finished (see FAQ).
What you will see first
While steps are still open, the card includes a prompt to Check out OpenSolar’s key features! That opens the in-app key features dialog.
When every step is done, that prompt changes to Check out our Enterprise Services.

FAQ
What happens when I finish every step?
You’ll see a short celebration. Control shows You're all set! Home and the Power Up chip hide in your next browser session. You can still reopen the completed card from Control.
Can I skip steps?
Admins can Skip some steps from the Control card if they are not relevant. You’ll be asked why. Skipping marks the step done on the checklist only — it does not turn the feature on.
Will Power Up keep appearing?
No. After you finish every step, Home and the nav chip stop showing in the next browser session. If steps stay open, Home and nav also stop prompting after about 30 days with no completed action. You can still finish from Control.
I already did some of this before I saw the checklist. Do I start again?
No. Work you already completed still counts and can show as done the first time you open the list.
Does dismissing a tip complete the step?
No. Ok only hides the on-page tip. Complete the action in OpenSolar to mark the step done.
How do I get help?
