Featured Figures in the Proposal

Summary:

In every proposal sent to your customer, you can showcase up to four Featured Figures—key metrics that help communicate the value of the solar system. These can be configured in your Proposal Template Settings under:

Control > Purchase Experience

To support your selection, Featured Figures are grouped into four categories:

• Technical Metrics – system performance and technical characteristics
• Utility Bill & Savings – utility costs and savings projections
• Financial Metrics – investment return, cash flows, and value
• Pricing & Payments – costs, payments, and tax-adjusted values

Technical Metrics:

Featured Figure	Description
Annual Electricity Drawn from Grid	Total kWh of electricity imported from the grid.
Annual Electricity Usage	Total annual electricity consumption in kWh.
Annual Solar Generation (Year 1)	Estimated solar generation in the first year.
Battery Size	Total storage capacity (kWh) across all designed batteries.
Capacity Factor (%)	Ratio of actual solar energy generation to the theoretical maximum, based on system nameplate capacity. Typically ranges from 10–25%.
Consumption Offset (%)	Percentage of total usage covered by solar generation.
Daily Solar Generation (Year 1)	Average daily solar output in the first year.
Energy From Solar (%)	Portion of energy needs met by solar generation.
Grid Independence (%)	Share of usage entirely covered by solar, not requiring grid input.
PV System Size	Nameplate capacity (kW) of the PV system.
Self Consumption (%)	Portion of solar energy consumed directly rather than exported.
System Lifetime	Expected lifetime of the solar system.

Financial Metrics:

Featured Figure	Description
Payback	Time to recover the initial investment using the yearly savings.
Discount Payback Period	The time it takes to recover the cost of an investment, taking into account teh time value of money as defined by the discount rate.  Note: The discount rate can be set in - Control > Design & Hardware > Setbacks & Design Settings > Simulation Settings
Net Present Value (NPV)	Present value of all future cash flows over the system lifetime.
Total Return on Investment (ROI)	Profit ratio or loss over system lifetime, expressed as a %.
Rate of Return on Investment (IRR)	Also know as the ineternal rate of return, is a discount rate that makes the net present value of all investmern cash fromws from a project equal to zero.
Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE)	Average cost per kWh produced.
Net Savings (Lifetime)	Total net savings (can be negative if costs > savings).

Pricing & Payments:

Each pricing/payment metric includes three display formats:

• Auto inc/ex tax – Automatically shows tax-exclusive for commercial projects and tax-inclusive for residential projects
• Tax inclusive
• Tax exclusive

📝 Note: If tax % is undefined or 0%, no tax status will be specified.

Total System Price  Auto inc/ex tax inc tax  ex tax)	Total system price before incentives.
Purchase Price  Auto inc/ex tax /  inc tax  ex tax	Base cost paid by the customer.
Payment Amount  Auto inc/ex tax  inc tax  ex tax	Recurring payment amount (loan, lease, regular, or PPA-based). For cash deals, this equals the purchase price.
Net System Price  (Auto inc/ex tax  inc tax  ex tax)	Final system cost after applying incentives.
Net Payment Amount  (Auto inc/ex tax / inc tax / ex tax)	Incentive-adjusted recurring payment.
Net Cost	Same as Net Payment Amount inc tax, but with a cash-specific label:
