Overview

LoanOptions.ai is available in OpenSolar through Checkout Finance, which embeds a direct financing call-to-action (CTA) into your online proposals and checkout screens. Customers can explore and apply for solar financing directly from their proposal, comparing loan options from multiple lenders and completing their application independently, while your business continues to sell on a cash basis.

How to Setup (Activation)

Activating LoanOptions.ai requires zero paperwork and takes less than a minute.

1. Navigate to Control > Pricing & Payment > Payment Options.
2. Look for the LoanOptions.ai promotional card (visible to Australian organisations only).
3. Click Activate. Because this integration skips the traditional partner-intake forms, activation happens immediately.
4. A green tick will appear on the card to confirm it is active, and the Activate button will be replaced by Learn More.

How to Manage & Control Finance Options

LoanOptions.ai is fundamentally a "set and forget" feature. There are no interest rates to maintain or product sheets to manually refresh. You handle layout controls at two distinct levels:

1. Broad Control (Per Payment Option)

• Go to Control > Pricing & Payment > Payment Options.
• Each cash payment option includes a Checkout Finance Enabled toggle.
• Use this toggle to show or hide the finance CTA across all proposals utilizing that specific cash option.

2. Specific Control (Per Proposal or System)

• Open the specific project and click the Payments tab.
• Locate the cash payment option card, click the three dots dropdown menu, and select Edit Checkout Finance Settings.
• A dialog box will open showing the available Checkout Finance lenders for Australia (e.g., LoanOptions.ai).
• Toggle the lender On to include it in that system's online proposal, or toggle it Off to remove it for that specific customer.

• Click Save.

   

What Your Customer Sees

The workflow is designed to be fully customer-led, cutting out administrative busywork for your sales reps:

• The customer clicks Explore available financing on their online proposal or QR code you’ve shared or from an email invite from you.
• They are instantly redirected to LoanOptions.ai via a secure, pre-filled link. 

• Project information such as customer details and system price is pre-filled where available to streamline the application process.

   

Important Notes

• You Sell Cash: Even though the customer finances the system, your business transacts on a cash basis. The loan arrangement is strictly between the customer and the lender.

• Australian Only: LoanOptions.ai is currently available to Australian organizations and requires no ongoing lender management or credential maintenance.
