Summary:
Case Studies in OpenSolar allow you to showcase real-world installations or success stories in your proposals—building trust and credibility with potential customers. From the Control zone of the app, you can create, edit, and organize case studies that appear in both the online and PDF proposals. This guide covers how to add new case studies, update existing ones, and control their appearance in proposals.
Accessing Case Studies
Navigate to the Control zone of the app.
In the left-hand sidebar, go to:
Purchase Experience > Case Studies
This section allows you to manage all case studies shown in proposals.
To add a new case study:
Click the ➕ Add testimonial button in the center of the screen.

Fill in the following fields:
Title – Name of the case study
Auto-Apply – Optionally enable automatic inclusion on systems
Order – Choose where it appears in the proposal
Message - Include the narrative from the customer.
Upload Photo – Upload visuals of the project
Editing Existing Case Studies
Locate the case study you wish to edit.
Click the Edit button next to it.

In the Edit Testimonial window, make any necessary changes to:
Title
Description
Images
Display settings
Viewing Case Studies in Proposals
Online Proposal
Scroll to the bottom of the online proposal page.
Click the “Case Studies” button to view them.
PDF Proposal
Case studies also appear in the downloadable PDF version of the proposal.
The layout and content are consistent with what is shown online.
