Summary
OpenSolar allows you to customize the email subject and message that accompanies your customer's solar proposal. This feature helps you create a more personalized and professional experience, tailored to each customer’s needs and preferences. You can set a default email template for all proposals or override it per project at the time of sending.
Setting a Default Proposal Email Message
You can create a default subject line and message body that will automatically be used whenever a proposal is sent from your OpenSolar account.
Steps to Configure the Default Message:
Navigate to:
Control > Company > SettingsScroll down and expand the Email Settings section.
Customize the following:
Email Subject
Email Message Body
Tip: Include placeholders like the customer's name or project name to make your message more engaging.
Overriding the Email for a Specific Proposal
In addition to the default email, OpenSolar gives you the flexibility to customize the message on a per-project basis.
Steps to Override the Email Message:
Open the specific project from your Projects dashboard.
Click on the Online Proposal tab at the top.
Scroll to the bottom right and click Send Proposal to Customer
A pop-up window will appear displaying the default email message.
Click the Customize button to edit:
