Summary:
The following article will show you how to generate a PV (Solar) Site Information Plan in OpenSolar.
Note: Although this feature is available globally on OpenSolar, it has been designed to be in accordance with the Australian solar regulations AS/NZ 5033.
Generating a PV (Solar) Site Information Plan:
To generate a PV site information plan for a project, open a project and navigate to the Manage tab. From there locate the Documents section and click on the + icon. From the provided options select "generate file":
From the provided generic files select “PV (Solsa) Site Information Plan. Select the system option and select Generate.
Once the document has finished generating it will appear on your screen.
Customizing the PV (Solar) Site Information Plan:
To customize the base template that we provide you, navigate to control > other > document templates > +add document template > select the type "PV (solar) site information plan". Then add the desired changes to the template, such as new placeholders to include more project information or even your company logo.
Note: the key inputs for this document are:
- A solar system design
- Relevant annotations (in the design area)
- Cable run (by using the wire feature in design > advanced)
- Relevant inverter stringing configurations
- Installation date (set in project > info > installation)
