The following article shows you how to generate a PV (Solar) Site Information Plan in OpenSolar.
Note: Although this feature is available worldwide in OpenSolar, it has been designed in accordance with the Australian solar energy regulations AS/NZ 5033.
Generate a PV (Solar) Site Information Plan:
To generate a PV site information plan for a project, open a project and navigate to the Manage tab. Locate the Documents section and click on + Add document. From the available options, select ‘Generate document’:
Select “PV (Solar) Site Information Plan” from the available generic files. Choose the system option and click Generate.
Once the document has been generated, it will appear on your screen.
Amending the PV (Solar) Site Information Plan:
To customise the basic template we provide, go to Control > Other > Document Templates > +Add Document Template > select the type ‘PV (solar) site information plan’. Then add the desired changes to the template, such as new placeholders to include more project information or even your company logo.
Note: the key input data for this document are:
- A solar power system design
- Relevant annotations (in the design area)
- Cable length (using the wire function in Design > Advanced)
- Relevant inverter string configurations
- Installation date (set in Project > Info > Installation)
