Changing the language of the proposal:
For the proposal to display in the language you require, you will need a proposal template that has been manually translated. You will also need to select the needed language within the online proposal. We will review the steps below:
Creating a proposal template:
- Go to control > purchase experience > proposal template
- Select the button " + proposal template" to create a new template
- Give it the title you prefer
- Expand the different sections within the template and translate all the messages within the template to the needed language
Changing the language of the proposal:
- Go to the online proposal of your project
- Expand the "customize proposal" tab on the left-hand side
- Use the language drop-down to change it from default to the desired language.
- From the proposal template drop-down, pick the template you've previously created.
Changing the language for the organization:
In OpenSolar, you also have the option to change the language the platform defaults to. By doing this, your proposal will default to the company's language and you will not have to manually change it every time. Below we will detail the steps:
- Go to control > Company > Business info
- Change the country from the currently selected to one where the needed language is spoken:
- Go to control > Purchase Experience> proposal template and use the "+ proposal template" to create a new one.
- Give the template a title and save
- The template for the proposal will load in the country's language (in this case, Germany).
Note: If you want, you can change the country of the company back to the original data and the template will stay on the created language.
Changing the language for the payment option:
You can change the language of the information for your payment option by:
- Go to control > pricing and payment > payment option
- Edit the payment option
- Change the title as well as the needed information.
Note: If you will be using the payment option in different languages, you can duplicate the existing payment option and only edit one. You can find more information about creating your payment options here.
Changing the language of the About Us:
The About Us section for the company will be displayed on the proposal in the language that it was first added. You can go to control > Company > Business info and change the message displayed here.
Changing the language of the application:
If OpenSolar currently does not display in the language you need it to, this can be easily changed by:
- Go to the settings wheel at the top right corner:
- Select Settings
- Select the needed language
Operating in different languages:
If your organization operates in different locations and languages the best action to take is to create different accounts for each language. Below are the steps to achieve this:
- Create your first OpenSolar account here and set it up for the main destination country and information. You can use a name with the location, for example: MYCOMPANY UK. You can check these videos for guidance.
- While still logged in to the first account, go to the same URL and create the second account. Enter your login email and password to keep the same login information.
- Refresh your page
- Now, under the settings wheel on the top right corner, you will have a new option called "Select Organisation" that will allow you to jump from one organization to the other.
You can now set up both organizations in the needed language.
