Exhibited vs Non-Exhibited hardware

When creating a proposal on OpenSolar, you may notice that certain hardware is displayed with product details such as images and spec sheets, while other hardware is displayed simply in black text.

Hardware that contains additional features are known as 'exhibited products', and this is when the hardware partners have paid us to exhibit their content in this way. It is through these partners that we ensure OpenSolar remains free for you to use. 

Exhibited product content includes extra details beyond the standard display including:

• Pictures of the product
• Product details pop-up
• Video content pop-up
• Spec sheets available for download and automatically attach to PDF

This content is managed by the equipment manufacturer. If you wish to make a request for exhibit content for a particular product then please contact us and we can relay your request through to the manufacturer.
