Summary
The page provides guidance on how to integrate and connect Stripe with OpenSolar CashFlow so your organization can accept digital customer payments directly through your proposal checkout.
Note: This partner is only available in the United States (US), United Kingdom (GB), and Australia (AU).
OpenSolar CashFlow now natively supports Stripe Connect, providing your solar business with a premium, trusted digital payment engine built right into your interactive customer proposals.
By activating Stripe, you can offer homeowners a much faster, frictionless checkout experience that drives higher conversion rates and secures your project deposits instantly. Rather than managing disparate banking terminals or manual wire transfers, Stripe brings your entire billing pipeline under one roof.
With this integration, you gain access to an expanded menu of modern payment choices—including credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, real-time PayTo bank transfers, and flexible Buy Now Pay Later options—allowing you to offer another route to a "yes" when upfront cash isn't available. All transaction reporting, live processing balances, and future payout timelines are embedded right inside your daily workspace to save you time, eliminate accounting double-checks, and help you scale your operations with total transparency and control.
Activating Stripe
Step 1: Locate the Card-Payment Activation Step
Click to CashFlow Hub
In the Setup Progress Widget at the top of the Hub screen, locate the card titled Add Card Payments.
Click Activate Stripe
Step 2: Complete the Single-Page Authentication Form
If you have an existing Stripe account, login to connect it to OpenSolar
IF you need to create a Stripe account, fill out your legal entity details, business tax identifiers, and executive representative fields.
Step 3: Managing Conditional Approval and Verification Documents
Once submitted, the setup status card in your CashFlow Hub will update to indicate your application is in processing or under review. Stripe utilizes automated government database parsing to clear most organizations automatically within one to two business days.
If Stripe requires extra compliance files (such as an updated corporate utility invoice or corporate registration signatures), your account will enter a Conditional Approval state. Manage requests through these steps:
Open Cashflow, then Stripe Payment Settings.
Look at the live, fully interactive Stripe Notification Banner rendered at the absolute top of the screen.
Click Update directly inside the notification banner to launch an embedded document upload portal managed by Stripe. Follow the prompts to upload your files. Once Stripe verifies the documents, the banner disappears immediately and your account shifts to fully approved.
