The Template Library allows you to switch between different proposal templates in OpenSolar.

You can use it to move between:

• Swipe Proposal templates
• Scroll Proposal templates

This makes it easy to choose the right proposal experience for each customer.

Open the Template Library

There are two main ways to open the Template Library.

When Creating a Project Proposal

If a proposal template has not yet been selected for the project, the Template Library opens automatically.

From here, you can choose whether to start with:

• a Swipe Proposal template
• a Scroll proposal template

From the Proposal Toolbar

You can also open the Template Library at any time from within the Proposal experience.

1. Open the project Proposal tab
2. Click Templates in the top toolbar

The Template Library will open, allowing you to switch templates.

Template Types

Inside the Template Library, templates are grouped by proposal type.

Swipe Proposal Templates

Swipe Proposal templates provide the interactive proposal experience.

Your organisation can create multiple SMP templates for different workflows, regions, or customer journeys.

Examples may include:

• financing-focused templates
• regional proposal templates
• branded proposal experiences

If no SMP template exists, a default template will be added automatically.

Scroll Proposal Templates

Scroll templates provide the traditional proposal experience.

You can select from your available Scroll templates within the library.

If no Scroll template exists, OpenSolar applies a default Scroll template automatically.

Selecting a Template

Click on a template card to apply it to the project.

Once selected:

• the chosen template becomes the active project proposal
• the proposal updates automatically
• project design data remains unchanged

⚠️ Note:
Switching templates does not delete your project or system design.

You can switch templates again at any time.

Template Library Cards

Template cards will display:

• template name
• template description
• preview image
• proposal type

These details help identify the correct proposal experience before applying it to a project.

Swipe Proposal templates provide OpenSolar’s newer interactive proposal experience with guided navigation, graphs, and enhanced presentation styling.

Scroll Proposal templates provide the original proposal experience and remain available for teams who prefer the traditional layout.

Can I create multiple Swipe Proposal templates?

Yes.

Your organisation can create multiple Swipe Proposal templates for different sales flows, branding styles, or customer segments.

Tips

• Use separate templates for different regions or financing flows
• Add descriptions and preview images to make templates easier to identify
• Review proposals in Preview Mode after switching templates
