What is Swipe Proposal?

Swipe Proposal (Previously Sales Machine Proposal) is OpenSolar’s interactive proposal experience designed to create a more engaging customer journey.

Instead of a traditional scrolling proposal, customers move through interactive chapters and pages across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

Swipe Proposal combines:

• system design
• energy insights
• savings comparisons
• financing and checkout

into one proposal experience.

Proposal Structure

Swipe Proposal is organised into chapters.

Default chapters include:

• Home
• Energy
• Savings
• Go

Each chapter contains one or more pages that can be customised within the proposal editor.

Navigation Experience

Edit Mode vs Preview Mode

Edit Mode

Used to customise and prepare the proposal before sharing.

You can:

• manage pages and graphs
• update supported content
• customise branding and styling
• configure proposal settings

Preview Mode

Used to review the customer experience before sharing the proposal.

Use Preview to:

• validate proposal flow
• review customer-facing content
• test desktop, tablet, and mobile views

Always preview the proposal before sending it to customers.

Before You Begin

Before using Swipe Proposal, make sure:

• your project contains a valid system design
• you have access to Proposal Templates in Control
• required proposal settings are configured

Some proposal features may vary depending on project setup and enabled features.

Create a Proposal Template

Create organisation-level proposal templates with your branding, colours, typography, featured figures, and proposal structure.

Templates are managed at the organisation level.

Go to:

Control → Proposal Templates

Then:

1. Click Add Proposal Template
2. Select Swipe Proposal
3. Configure your template
4. Save

Customise your Proposal Template

Pages and Edit

Manage proposal structure, predefined pages, graph pages, branding, typography, and supported content.
