Accessing Customer Contact Information
OpenSolar stores the information of every customer you have previously worked with. You can locate customer details by navigating to:
Control
Customers
Contacts
Within this window, you can use the search bar at the top to quickly find a specific customer. Each customer entry includes Edit and Delete buttons, allowing you to make necessary modifications.
By selecting the Edit button next to a customer, you can update the following fields:
First Name
Last Name
Middle Name
Phone Number
Email Address
Associated Projects
Accessing project transactions
The Project Transactions section enables you to review all payment transactions associated with your projects. In this window, you can view:
Project Name
Type of Transaction
Amount
Transaction Date and Time
You also have the option to edit or delete transactions. When editing a transaction, you can modify the following details:
Project associated with the transaction
Amount of the transaction
Tax included (Yes/No)
Surcharge amount
Date information
"Is Completed" toggle (mark once the transaction is finalized)
Funds Confirmed toggle
Type of Transaction
Accessing loaded files
The Files section displays all files uploaded to your projects. From this window, you can:
Edit file details
Delete files
Download files for future use
When editing a file, you can update the following attributes:
The project it is attached to
File tags
Title of the file
Note: If a loaded file is corrupted, it may prevent the project from loading properly. Typically, corrupted files will not have an option to download, indicating a problem with the file.
Proposal viewers
If a project is shared using the Link Share feature, the activity is recorded in the Proposal Viewers section. You can access this section to:
Review who has accessed the proposal
Disable the shared link to prevent further access by the customer
Reviewing project activities
The Project Activities section logs the complete history of all activities associated with your projects, updated in real time. You can:
Edit activities
Delete activities
When editing an activity, you can modify the following information:
Event Type
Notes
Assigned Team Member
Notify Team Member toggle
Start Date and Time
Duration
Associated Contact
