Pigeon Proof Your Solar Panels!

Unfortunately, Pigeons love to nest under solar panels, causing mess and damaging cables. SolaSkirt upgrades any solar panel system with a sleek black-edged appearance. Covering up unsightly gaps, rain water run-off, cables, rail and clamps.

Generate a SolaSkirt BOM

• Within a project in OpenSolar, navigate to the Design tab and add your panels of choice to the property.
• Select the Mounting section and enter the "Roof Type", "Mounting System Type" and "Mounting System".
• Once your mounting system of choice has been selected, ensure Auto-Racking is toggled on to have OpenSolar auto generate a list of required components based on your array layout.
• Scroll down to find the Partner Accessories section and click the SolaSkirt button to auto add a list of required SolaSkirt components based on your array layout.
• Optional - For ventilation purposes, SolaSkirt recommend that at least one SolaSkirt Black Chimney component be included per array, or more for bigger panel arrays.

SolaSkirt Components

SolaSkirt designs will typically incorporate the following components:

SolaSkirt Black Corner kit - The SolaSkirt corner kit is a metre cut length of powder coated skirt to form a corner. Corner kit to fit to any external or internal corner. Corner cut to size and includes 2 x double clamps and 2 x single clamps. Clamps are for panel thickness 30mm – 40mm (40 – 50mm clamps available direct on request).

SolaSkirt Black SL kit - The SolaSkirt SL kit (single length) is a 1.2m length of powder coated skirt 1.2m black skirt. Includes 1 x double clamp and 1 x single clamp. Clamps are for panel thickness 30mm – 40mm (40 – 50mm clamps available direct on request).

SolaSkirt Black Chimney (optional) - The SolaSkirt chimney is designed to be installed with one length per array. This is designed to increase air flow in the summer to let hot air escape, drawing in cooler air from below the system and keep your solar panels operating at peak efficiency throughout the summer. 1.2m black chimney to aid air flow. Includes 1 x double clamp and 1 x single clamp for panel thickness of 30mm – 40mm.
