How to use the permitting integrations in the US

We have partnered with Ignergy, Green World Renewable Energy and EnergyScape Renewables to help you cut your permitting costs and save time with permit-ready solar drawings. Installers can purchase permit plan sets, engineering reviews, and PE-stamped solar drawings right from the Projects section of OpenSolar.

How to enable Permitting integration?

You can enable the integration in 2 ways

1. Control Page: Go to the Integration & Services page in Control and enable the specific permitting partner from there. 
2. Project Page: Alternatively, you can go to the integration section of the manage tab within your project.

How to request Permitting services?

• Click on the Projects section of OpenSolar, go to the Manage area of your specific project, and scroll down to the "Integrations" section.

• Click on Request a Permit 
   

  

  
  Note: This option is only available if the project is marked as sold and the address details are complete. 
   

  

• Select the permitting partner you would like to request permitting from (if you have multiple partners enabled)
   

  

• Select the service you are requesting.

• Fill the request form and click Send Request
  Note: OpenSolar prefills all data possible as long as that information exists inside the project details.
   

  

• Once submitted, the integration banner will be updated to reveal a summary of the request that was made to the partner and the permitting partner will receive the document with all the details that you provided to initiate the permitting process.
