Activating the GloBird ZeroHero Plan in OpenSolar

Summary

ZeroHero is a simple, set-and-forget energy plan designed to maximise your battery earnings.

Built for homes with solar and battery storage, it rewards customers for charging, using and exporting energy at the most valuable times — helping them generate real, ongoing returns from their battery investment.

By activating this plan in your project, you can include it directly in your proposal, making it easy for customers to see the financial benefits tied to their system design.

How to Add the ZeroHero Battery Energy Plan

1. Go to the Energy tab within your project and scroll down to the Electricity Rate section.

   

    

2. Next to Proposed Rate, click Change Tariff.

   

    

3. In the tariff search bar, type GBzerohero and select the appropriate ZeroHero tariff for the correct DNSP.

   Tip: For the showcase content to be applied, ensure the correct DNSP is selected. You can enter the DNSP name in the search bar to narrow the results.

   

    

4. Click Apply Tariff.

5. In the Design tab, under Battery, add a battery.
   Select Maximize Savings under Battery Control Scheme.

   

    

6. Click Save.

What Happens Next?

Once applied:

  ✔️   The ZeroHero Battery Energy Plan details will automatically appear in the proposal.

  ✔️   System savings will be calculated based on the selected ZeroHero tariff structure.

This ensures customers can clearly see how the plan enhances battery performance and financial returns.
