Adding optimisers to sinlgle panels

Is it not possible to add optimisers to single panels?

We do this all the time with our installations. 

For example if only 1 or some of the panels experiance shading, we would optimise the panels that experiance the shading and not the others.

Or if we are using a 3rd aspect on a string inverter, we would optimise that aspect and attach it to one of the other strings.

  I've never found a way to do this.  Frustrating
