API - get link to Shared Proposal

I'm looking for a way to get the link to a Shared Proposal via API.

Use case: the majority of people who use our CRM do not have login to OpenSolar (and ought not to have one). These people do nonetheless need to be able to see the proposals we send out.

We can and do store a link to the full OpenSolar record for a project in the form:

https://app.opensolar.com/#/projects/<projectid>/

but clicking on that only works for people who have an OpenSolar record. What would be more useful for most users would be to be able to store the link to the Proposal, which is available to an anonymous user:

https://api.opensolar.com/share/<projectid>/?token=<token>

I can't see this URL anywhere in the API. Alternatively I have the ProjectId of course so could construct this URL, but I can't find a way of making the token using the API. Any ideas?

When you call the /projects/ endpoint, it's called "share_link"

henry.poyntz that's brilliant, thanks. I've now implemented this in our CMS as a client-side link. In use I can see that the share_link is only populated when the designer remembers to enable share link on the proposal, there is a global setting but it does not seem to work, did you find the same?

Hmm, I'm afraid not jon. Perhaps shout at OS Support about the global setting not working?
