OpenSolar has built a feature that allows for Swedish users to correctly apply the Green Technology (grön teknik) incentive to their projects. This is a government rebate designed to reduce the cost of solar PV, battery, and charger systems based on the number of households in the given project.
Adding the incentive to your account
- Navigate to control > other > incentives and create a new incentive
- In the "type" field, select "grön teknik"
- Add a description to the incentive. This will later appear on your proposal as explainer text for your customer.
- Enter the applicable rebate (%) figures within the PV, Battery and Charger fields.
- You have the flexibility to decide your own rebate amounts, however, from conversations with Swedish installers and external research, we gather these to be:
- PV rebate = 19.4%
- Battery = 50%
- Charger = 50%
- You have the flexibility to decide your own rebate amounts, however, from conversations with Swedish installers and external research, we gather these to be:
- Enter the "cap amount for 1 household" and "more than one household" in the dedicated fields.
- Once again, you have the flexibility to determine this, however, our research indicates that:
- The cap amount for 1 household should be 50,000 SEK
- The cap amount for more than 1 household should be 100,000 SEK
- Once again, you have the flexibility to determine this, however, our research indicates that:
- Save your incentive.
Applying the incentive to a project
Now that you have added the incentive to your account:
- Navigate to the design page for a specific project
- Set your price for the system in the pricing tab. This can be a manual price or from a pricing scheme.
- Click the "incentive" tab on the left-hand navigation bar
- Enter the PV price, battery price and charger price
- Select the number of households for this project (which determines the cap amount of the incentive)
Note: we have included logic to ensure that the total system price you have entered is fully distributed across the incentive. In the example below, the total system price is 150,000 SEK and the incentive has been distributed across PV (100,000) and Battery (50,000). You will see a warning if the incentive has not been fully distributed.
Displaying the incentive to your customer
In the quotation table of your proposal there will be a line item reserved for the incentive which explains the breakdown of the incentive value as well as the description that you had entered for the incentive in the control settings.
