Our expire proposal functionality gives your organization greater control over the time frame your customer will be able to accept your proposal ensuring they don't accept an expired invalid proposal.
Enabling the functionality
OpenSolar will now automatically hide the checkout buttons (Accept Proposal) from online proposals if the proposal validity has expired.
You can control these settings in your organization by going to Control > Purchase Experience > Proposal Template > Advanced Settings > Proposal Checkout Settings
You will have 3 options to choose from:
- Disabled when proposal validity has expired - With this option, the "accept proposal" checkout button will be hidden from customers when the proposal reaches the expiration date.
- Disabled - With this option, the "accept proposal" checkout button will always be hidden regardless of the proposal's expiration date.
- Enabled - With this option, the "accept proposal" checkout button will always show regardless of the proposal's expiration date.
When the accept proposal is disabled, the pro can add a custom message that appears on both the Online and PDF proposals.
Note: By default, your proposal template will be set to "Disabled when proposal validity has expired".
How to Update Validity/Expiry Date of Proposal
- Go to Online Proposal and click "Customise Proposal".
- Update "Valid Until" field
Notifications
When a customer is viewing an expired online proposal, the assigned team member will receive a notification “Customer viewed expired online proposal” instead of “Customer viewed online proposal”
