This article will show you how to generate a PV (Solar) Site Information Plan in OpenSolar.
Although this feature is available globally on OpenSolar, it has been designed to be in accordance with the Australian solar regulations AS/NZ 5033.
The above video shows you how to generate and customise the PV site information plan document, however written instructions are also available below.
To generation a PV site information plan for a project, open a project and navigate to the info tab. Then click on "generate document" and select from the drop down "PV (solar) site information plan (generic)".
To customise the base template that we provide you, navigate to control > other > document templates > +add document template > select the type "PV (solar) site information plan". Then add the desired changes to the template, such as new placeholders to include more project information, or even your company logo.
Note: the key inputs for this document are:
- A solar system design
- Relevant annotations (in the design area)
- Cable run (by using the wire feature in design > advanced)
- Relevant inverter stringing configurations
- Installation date (set in project > info > installation)
