🎥 1. Create a Project

hello and welcome back to OpenSolar in this next video we will show you how to create a new project. Here we are in the home page of OpenSolar. We'll just go ahead and start typing the address and as we do there'll be a google drop down that comes up and we just want to select the address. It'll bring you to the satellite image of the home, just make sure it's centered and from there we click on create project and that'll bring you into the exact project and once there you will see all the sub-tabs up top. Of course the info section is where you would put the customer contact, phone number, and email. Address should populate directly from the home page and marketing sales if you want to track any lead source where it came from. Site details shows roof type and other things like that, meter number and any notes that you want to put in about the system. If you're running a sale, any notes about the installation. Here you also have the permits so that's the info sub tab. The energy, this would be where you want to enter the utility data you can import it from utility api if you use utility api in your area and you can select from a variety of different ways to retrieve that data as well you can select on estimates if you just want to take the geo average from that area based on consumption low medium or high. The design portion is where we would come in and actually design the system. You can see the 3d imagery here of this home on the left, you can select your hardware: panels, inverters, batteries, or any other components. So that's the design section, or the sub tab. Once the design is done you would save and of course, you can generate the online proposal which would be what you show to the customer. This is a quick little snippet of your company. This is completely customizable so continue to proposal and then here we are you can look at the online proposal. There's more videos that touch up on exactly everything that's included on the online proposal. For this video we are only reviewing how to create a new project. So pdf proposal you can download that and then here on the manage portion is where you can see all project history. if the customer has looked at their proposal it'll tell you when and for how long. Then in the project zone, this is exactly where you can filter all your projects from a variety of different ways. If you want to add a filter, you have several filters here in this drop-down to get you a better insight into your on your pipeline. so that's how you create a new project with OpenSolar thank you so much and have a wonderful day
