Enabling/disabling the self-checkout button
In order to enable/disable self-checkout go to the Control > Purchase Experience > Checkout Experience on the left-hand side menu.
- To turn off the checkout button, toggle off the "enable checkout" button.
- To turn on the checkout button, toggle on the "enable checkout" button.
Customizing section names
Quote acceptance title - Add a title here to change the title found on the PDF proposal signature section:
Review proposal buttons - Add a customized title that will show on the proposal and proposal and deposit tabel
Accept Proposal Buttons - Add a customized title to show on the accept proposal window
Quote Acceptance Content - You have the option to enter specific content you want the customer to check before being able to sign the contract. To achieve this, select the + button which will bring up a line to add all the required content:
This will show to the customer in the acceptance window and they will have to check these items before they are able to accept the proposal.
Managing files and proposal acceptance
You have the option to select what will show on the PDF proposal. The following selections will be available:
- Combined proposal and contract PDF - When the PDF is generated, both the contract and the proposal will show.
- Proposal PDF only - When the PDF is generated, only the proposal will show.
- Contract PDF only - When the PDF is generated, only the contract will show.
Email proposal and contract PDF to customer on proposal acceptance - When toggled on, the customer will receive a copy of the proposal and contract once these have been signed.
Using the fields directly below the toggle, you can customize the subject and message the customer will receive along with the attachment.
Customer Payment Transaction
Accept Credit Card- OpenSolar allows you to implement online credit card payments through the use of a third-party application called Stripe. This will be required to set up to allow the end customer to pay through the App.
How to enable online credit card payment using Stripe
Once you have enabled customer checkout, customers will be able to see the Accept Proposal button in the interactive proposal (Online proposal). Stripe Secret Key - This is from the Stripe application which is your secret key.
- Stripe Publishable Key - This is the publishable key
- Credit Card Surcharge (%) - This is the surcharge that will be incurred as a result of using credit card payment as a % of the total price.
- Credit Card Surcharge Fixed - This is a fixed price surcharge that will be incurred if the credit card option is chosen.
Accept Offline - If you are using a "Cach" payment option for your projects please make sure this is toggled on.
- Offline Surcharge (%) - This refers to the surcharge that will be added to the system price if the offline payment option is chosen in terms of % of the total system price.
- Offline Surcharge Fixed - This refers to a fixed price surcharge that will be added to the total system price if the offline payment option is chosen.
- Offline Title - The title of the offline payment option.
- Offline Payment Details - The details that you want the customer to use to pay. (ie BSB, Account Number).

Removing the option for PDF proposal download
If you only want your customers to be able to see the online proposal and not have the option to download the PDF proposal follow these steps
- Go to control > purchase experience > proposal template and edit your template.
- Expand the proposal settings section
- Check off the "Action Button (online only) option. This will remove all the action buttons from the proposal including the PDF download option.
