This article is in the Control zone of the App.
OpenSolar offers multiple solar simulation software including PVWatts, System Advisor Model (SAM) and MCS (UK Only).
However, depending on the available weather data we have at your project location, the annual generation estimated may not be reflective of the actual generation at that location.
In order to account for this, OpenSolar has allowed the feature to scale the Performance of your System in order to match the levels of generation that you know are achievable.
To do this go the Control section of the App and:
- Click on Design & Hardware on the left sidebar and then setbacks & design settings
- Click on the Simulation Settings section > Edit
- Change the number underneath the heading Performance Adjustment to scale the electricity output. (This will be calculated as a simple multiplication with what we currently are calculating for your solar output. Eg if you would like the output to be 10% higher then you would input "110" into the box).
Note: If you have more than one template for setbacks & design settings then you must ensure that they are applied to the projects that will require this scaling. Find out how to do that in How to Set the Proposal and Preset Templates article.
Ensure that you press the button when you have finished editing this.
