Generating the Energy Yield Report document

Summary

OpenSolar offers you the ability to generate various types of offline documents (PDFs) that pull information from your projects. This article runs through the process of generating, creating, and editing the Energy Yield Report document template.

Generating the template

To do this, go to the info tab of a project > locate Project Files on the top right of the Info page and click on Generate Document.

From the drop-down select "Energy Yield Report" and the system option you want to generate the file for. Once this is selected click on Generate.

This document template includes key information on the first page, such as customer details, and your business details. This is followed by a detailed system parameters table on page two, as shown below.

This system parameters table will be populated for each of the system options that you have designed for your customer.

Customizing and creating the template

You have the ability to customize the Energy Yield Report by going to Control > Other > Document Templates. From this window, you have the option of creating a new template or editing the existing one. To edit an existing simply click on the edit pencil.

To create a new template, select the + add Document template and in the prefill template select the option "Energy Yield Report"

Give your template a title and select "Save". Once this is done, scroll down to the content section, and here, you have the ability to add/cut text, reformat this system parameters table, and utilize the various other placeholders offered by clicking this icon: .
