Creating the proposal template:
To create a proposal template in OpenSolar, follow the steps outlined below:
1. Navigate to the proposal template:
- Navigate to Control > Purchase Experience > Proposal Template.
- Click on "+ Proposal Template" to initiate the creation of a new template.
2. Configure the template
- Assign a name to the template.
- Expand the Proposal Settings and enable only the necessary components.
Required items:
- System Group
- Hardware Showcase Tile (Only retain the Other Component Showcase Tile)
- Payment Option Group
- Quotation Table
- System Details
- Next Steps
- Action Buttons (Online Only)
- Brochures / Specification Sheets
Optional items:
(Enable these features if they align with your business needs.)

- About Us
- Content Blocks 1 & 2
- Case Studies
- Terms and Conditions
3. Configure Feature Figures
- Select options that align with your business needs.
- You can enable some, all, or none of the four available items.
4. Define product type visibility

- Locate the Show Product Types field and select only the "Other" option.
5. Apply Customizations and Save

- Add additional customizations as needed.
- Click Save once you’ve completed the setup.
Creating the proposal:
Once a proposal template has been created, follow the steps below to generate a proposal.
1. Enter Customer Information

- From the Home Page, input the customer's address.
- This action will generate a map view of the specified location.
2. Design the Proposal

- Navigate to the Design tab.
- Select the Other tab and add the Heat Pump to the proposal.
3. Set Pricing & Incentives

- Open the Pricing tab and choose the appropriate pricing and cost scheme.
- In the Incentives tab, apply any relevant incentives applicable to the project.

Once the design is complete, your proposal will be ready to display to your customer with its heat pump and pricing.
