What are Custom Views?
Custom View lets you:
- Save your filters and column configurations.
- Rename views or tabs to keep your Projects page organized and meaningful.
With Custom View, your Projects page becomes your personalized control center, making it easier to focus on what matters most.
How to Use the Custom View Feature:
1. Apply Filters and Customize Columns
Start by setting up your preferred view:
- Navigate to the Projects List page.
- Apply filters using the Sort & Filter menu to focus on specific project types or statuses.
- Customize View Settings by adjusting:
- View type: List or Kanban
- Column settings: Visible columns or project details
- Column order
2. Save Your Custom View
Once satisfied with your setup:
- Click the + Add View button on the right most part of the view tabs.This duplicates the currently opened view with the placeholder name “New View”.
- Give your view a unique name to easily identify it later (e.g., "Active Projects" or "Installations in Progress") by clicking on the new view’s dropdown options and selecting Rename View.
- Click Save to create your custom view.
3. Access Saved Views
Your saved views appear as tabs at the top of the Projects page. Simply click on a tab to switch between views.
4. Rename or Update a View
Need to make changes to an existing view?
- To Rename a View: Right-click the tab name and select Rename. Enter the new name and press Enter.
- To Update a View: Make your changes to filters or columns, then click Save View to overwrite the existing setup.
Managing Custom Views:
- Create Multiple Views:
Save as many views as you need for different workflows, like "Sales Pipeline" or "Completed". - Delete Unused Views:
Click on the dropdown menu for a tab and select Delete View to remove it. This helps keep your Projects page clutter-free.
FAQs:
Can my custom views be seen by other team members?
Yes. Currently, Custom Views are organization-specific. User-specific views will be explored in the future.
What happens if I update filters or columns without saving them?
Unsaved changes are temporary and won’t affect your saved views. To make them permanent, click Save View.
