The OpenSolar Component Database features over 50,000+ hardware components comprising of modules, batteries, inverters, heat pumps, EV chargers, and various accessories which support a solar design.
When you are Selecting an Equipment in Design or just Setting-up Your Hardware Preferences in the Control Zone, you just have to type in the exact component code designated in the manufacturer specification sheet as our hardware database codes are aligned with it. Some instances are exception to this identical rule and conform to the following naming conventions:
-
By Region. A number of manufacturers operate in various regions. A number of which do have their own data sheet per region to correspond to varying electrical specifications applicable on that area. A regional suffix is added on the code to differentiate these multi-regional equipment.
- e.g. OS-XX-11 [AU]
-
By Warranty. Some manufacturers offer varying warranties on their hardware products, sometimes depending on region of operation or just a special warranty extension.
- e.g. OS-XX-11 [25 Years]
-
By Rating. There are inverters that are characterized by different output voltages and result into varied output in terms of Watts or Amps. Voltage ratings are added on the codes to cater for this scenario.
- e.g OS-INV-1 [220V], OS-INV-1 [240V]
-
By Color. Modules are sometimes differentiated in terms of color like White and Black. This color differentiation are also added on component codes.
- e.g. OS Module X Black, OS Module X White
- e.g. OS Module X Black, OS Module X White
-
By Product Series. For component codes that share the exact same code but belong to different group series that usually vary in terms of appearance such as color, among other aspects, the series name is added as a suffix.
- e.g. OS-XX-11/GroupA, OS-XX-11 [GroupB]
-
For Bundled Batteries and Inverters. There are also cases in which a bundled inverter and battery share the same code. [INV] and/or [BAT] suffixes are added the to original data sheet code to cater for multi-type components.
- e.g. OS-Trial-1 [INV], OS-Trial-2 [BAT]
If the equipment you are looking for is not yet in our database, please send the component specification sheet via our Support Form, and our team will upload it.
